
Andrés Hernández-Salazar
Andrés Hernández-Salazar began his musical studies in his native Venezuela and was awarded a British Council scholarship to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He specialised in Early Music before continuing postgraduate studies at Trinity College of Music. He has since performed extensively in both the UK and continental Europe, as well as in South America and the Middle East. Andrés is also much in demand as a lecturer and runs regular courses on the history of opera and music from different parts of the world. www.ahsmusic.co.uk
Andrés lectures in music history from antiquity to the present day (covering all of Europe, as well as North and South America), including the history of genres such as opera, linked to specific cities, the lives of famous composers and the relationship between music and art. Lectures are illustrated with images and musical examples.
